Magical light at sunset: Sometimes nature has plans you are unaware of, and it happens to me so many times...trust in and go with the flow is my motto. To kill time, I went on a hike at another location and pretty soon, everything was fogged up super thick. Optimistic, I climbed up here, tired from hiking all day, huffing and puffing with all my camera gear. I walked as far as I could to shoot Mt. Rainier but saw the sun on the left, so I turned my attention...and started walking down, chasing the light. I came to a dead end, so I walked back up and down again in another direction and saw this happening...I had less than 5 minutes to shoot this...and trusted whatever my new camera would capture. Hoping it didn't fail me as I hadn't even used it yet..till this day. The mountains and the color from the sun in the clouds were gone after this. If I were to separate all the threads of light from a sunset Into strings to play chords for a glorious harmony, Could it be grander than thou? You are a great symphony of colour and sound, Even more magnificent than this exalting panoply! Your effulgence is the ceaseless amber fire in my heart. You're the strings, the brasses and the winds, You're all the high notes, soft notes and tender notes, All the orange hues, bronzes and golds! You're all the magic of sunset and more, All the cherished dreams of twilight reverie and sun kissed daydreams of dawn awakening, You are the mesmeric fantasia that plays on and on! - Alexander Thomas
