I was born in Dehradun, India, and raised in the culturally rich city of Benares, where my fascination with colors and art began. Despite societal pressure against pursuing art as a career, I found my calling in painting and later in photography.
After relocating to Portland, Oregon, I pursued a career in design, immersing myself in the creative world. It was during a challenging period of divorce that I rediscovered my love for photography. Immersing myself in this medium, I discovered the magic of capturing moments through the lens. Joining a group of women photographers and hikers, I explored nature and found a deep connection with landscape photography, especially during the golden hours of light.
Embarking on backpacking trips to capture nature's beauty, I found peace and healing through my art. Using photography as a form of expression, I aim to share the beauty I see in the world and support causes for children, reflecting my deep care for the environment.
Despite the challenges that come with pursuing photography, the moments of bliss and tranquility I experience behind the lens make it all worthwhile. I invite you to join me on this journey as I continue to explore the world through my photographs, capturing the profound beauty and serenity of nature that speaks to my soul.
